GreenTurtle Standard / Version 1

A framework for
honest fleet progress.

A self-assessment framework for fleet carbon measurement and battery-electric fleet share. Not an audit. Not third-party certification.

The basis of the Standard

A mark needs a method behind it.

The value is in the traceability: the source of the distance, the powertrain treatment, the reporting period and the method version. A tier describes a fleet’s battery-electric share; it is not a carbon-neutrality claim.

Every figure, traced to how it was made.

Published thresholds / Self-assessed

Four tiers. One transparent basis.

Tier thresholds use the share of the fleet that is pure battery electric. Plug-in hybrids do not count as pure battery electric. The bands below express the published minimum thresholds as non-overlapping ranges.

Self-assessed

Bronze

Below 20%
of the fleet is battery electric.

Self-assessed

Silver

20% to below 40%
of the fleet is battery electric.

Self-assessed

Gold

40% to below 60%
of the fleet is battery electric.

Self-assessed

Platinum

60% and above
of the fleet is battery electric.

Tiers are always described as self-assessed. They do not establish independent assurance or whole-business sustainability performance.

Displaying the mark

Keep the record attached.

Whenever a fleet’s Standard mark is displayed, it must carry its verification code or public link. The record explains the claim; the presence of a code is not independent validation.

Record

A code with context

The code format is GT-XXXX-XXXX. A record includes the tier, annual tonnes, fleet size, zero-tailpipe count, electrified share, period and method version.

Status

Revocation stays visible

If a record is revoked, its public page must say so. An old image of a mark is not enough to establish current status.

Privacy

Only the summary

There is no searchable fleet register in the source design. Other fleet information should not be exposed.
